France Attracts Second Largest Chinese Investment in Europe in 2015

Brief:PARIS, March 24 (Xinhua) -- France attracted the second largest job-creating investment from China in Europe in 2015, second only to Britain, the French public agency Business France announced in a recent report.

In 2015, companies from the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong have launched 44 projects in France, occupying 16 percent of the country's projects directed towards Europe, while Britain won 22 percent of Chinese projects in Europe, Business France said.
 
The Chinese investments have created 1,023 jobs last year in France, with an increase of more than 40 jobs compared to 2014, according to the report.
 
Business France said in the report released Tuesday that 52 percent of investments of Chinese companies are in decision-making centers, and the sectors of electrical, electronic and IT equipments are their favorite.
 
The public agency said also that in 2015, 55 percent of Chinese investment projects in France were located in Ile de France, the most prosperous French region where Paris is located, occupying 8 percent of foreign investments launched in the region over the same period.
 
Business France also noted that China is the second largest Asian investor in France, only behind Japan. Actually, Chinese companies employ over 45,000 people in more than 600 companies.
