H.E. Dr. Abbas Akhoundi, Minister of Roads and Urban Development of Iran, introduced many profitable projects to the attendees:
The first project is an airport construction project. There is a 1500 hectares free trade zone and 2500 hectares special economic zone in Iran now, so it is in urgent need of an airport nearby, which will become an important link between Northern and Southern Iran after construction. We have reached a cooperation agreement on the proposal airport with a Dutch company. Both airport construction project and housing project will be finalized during a major bidding meeting to be held at the end of this year. Our construction projects are among the largest projects in local area in terms of quality and scale. The free trade zone is just 20 kilometers away from the proposal airport. Additional 7 airports are planned to be constructed in other areas in Iran.
The second project is a transportation project. Now several Indian companies have participated in the development of ports in Iran. We hope Chinese companies can participate in such projects actively, which will produce certain economic benefits after construction. We also have several projects around the Caspian Sea and many land transportation projects.

We also hope Chinese companies to participate in the short-distance air transportation projects in Iran.
Moreover, Mr. Akhoundi also introduced some other excellent projects to the attendees, including railway construction projects, housing projects, vehicle and associated facilities projects, etc. He encouraged Chinese companies to participate in these profitable projects, which will gain supports and assistance from local government and companies.
