A ministerial meeting on economic and trade promotion between China and Central and Eastern European has just concluded in eastern Zhejiang Province.
The conference has discussed topics covering trade promotion, mutual investment and cooperation in infrastructure construction.
The meeting was held in Ningbo City on Sunday, with the theme "Deepen pragmatic cooperation; Achieve mutual development".
China's Minister of Commerce Gao Hucheng attended the conference.
He said China will boost exchanges with the 16 Central and Eastern European, or CEE countries in various fields, including human resources, infrastructure and investment.
And the countries will also see more tie-up in the construction of infrastructure for railways, ports, highways and electricity.
China's Minister of Commerce also said:
"All sides have agreed to further promote their cooperation and investment, so as to boost mutual development between China and the Central and Eastern European countries. They have also agreed to strengthen cooperation in many fields, including high-tech innovation, clean energy, environmental protection, agriculture and biotechnology."
The minister also said both sides will provide more convenience in terms of visas and work permits to increase mutual investments and allow more business exchanges.
Representatives from the CEE countries expressed optimism about China's economic prospect and their willingness to enhance cooperation with China to look for more development opportunities.
