China and India will work to nurture more cooperation and mutual investment, officials said on Tuesday during the third China-India Strategic Economic Dialogue in Beijing.

China and India will continue to improve the investment and trade environment, encourage companies to increase mutual investment and strengthen cooperation in areas of infrastructure, information technology, energy, environment protection and finance, according to the one-day meeting.

The meeting was presided by Xu Shaoshi, head of China's National Development and Reform Commission, and Montek Singh Ahluwalia, vice chairman of the Planning Commission of India.

China and India can learn from each other as both countries are under the same pressure of balancing reform and structural adjustment, both sides said.

The first such dialogue was held in Beijing in September 2011, the second was in New Delhi in November 2012.
