Galicia Investment Workshop Successfully Held in Shanghai

With the support and  assistance of China Business Network and World Travel online, Galicia investment workshop, organized by IGAPE was successfully held on December 5th, 8th, 9 and 10th in Shanghai. The key leaders of IGAPE and delegates from many famous Chinese enterprises participated in this workshop. IGAPE introduced the details about the economy and the investment conditions as well as some incentives for investing in Galicia to the delegates.

Galicia is one of Spain's 17 autonomous regions with an area of 29,574 km² and is situated in the northwest of the Iberian Peninsula, bordering with Portugal to the south. In the past ten years, annual average growth rate of GDP was up to 3.4% in Galicia. Since 2007, Galicia is a Convergence Objective of the European Union, meaning that non-refundable grants may be given of up to 30% of the subsidisable investment, being one of the best offers for financial support within the EU. The delegates showed their big interests in this preferential policy.

Mr. José Antonio Rico Adega, Representative Director of IGAPE in China, said that one of the main objectives of IGAPE is to attract new investment projects to Galicia. In this case, IGAPE provides individualized attention and follow-up services for each new investment project, maximum support and funding for investment, support and funding for training and contracting through the corresponding institutions, public risk capital, etc.

The delegates from Chinese enterprises covering various business fields, so their topics of discussion are different.
