Promoting Vietnam- China Strategic Partnership

Brief:On the occasion of the 65th National Day of Vietnam and Vietnam-China Friendship Year (60th anniversary of diplomatic relations), Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) in conjunction with related ministries and agencies, organizes the programme"Vietnam Days in China" from August 29 to September 3, 2010.
On the occasion of the 65th National Day of Vietnam and Vietnam-China Friendship Year (60th anniversary of diplomatic relations), Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) in conjunction with related ministries and agencies, organizes the programme"Vietnam Days in China" from August 29 to September 3, 2010.

The programme promotes the image of Vietnam and activities of the Vietnamese government in the growing political, diplomatic, cultural and economic relations between the two countries, introducing the potential of Vietnam in renovation, the dynamic and creative Vietnamese community, and favourable business environment. The programme will also provide Vietnamese businesses opportunities to develop trade and investment cooperation with partners in China and throughout Asia.

According to the Organizing Committee, the programme will include important activities such as"Vietnam-China economic forum: Strategic partnership – All-round cooperation"in Beijing on August 30, 2010. The forum includes official participation by ministries, agencies, promotion organizations and over 400 businesses of the two countries. The theme will focus on business environment, trade and investment opportunities of the two countries, and especially the promotion of trade and investment under the ASEAN – China FTA.

Meanwhile "Vietnam-China Trade-Investment Forum"will be held in Shanghai on September 1, 2010 with the participation of officials of Shanghai, ministries, promotion organizations and nearly 300 Vietnamese and Shanghai businesses discussing the business environment and cooperation opportunities, and exchanging experiences between the two business communities, especially on the occasion of the Shanghai EXPO in the economic centre of China.

In addition, there will be meetings and contacts between Vietnamese and Chinese businesses seeking trade and investment opportunities and promoting the participation of Chinese economic groups.

The programme will include a Gala dinner on the occasion of the 65th National Day of Vietnam and Vietnam Days in China with art, song and dance performances, introduction of Vietnamese gastronomy and fashion show of Vietnamese Ao Dai (Long Dress) in Beijing on August 30.

In addition, a photo exhibition"Vietnam – land and people" will introduce the works of Vietnamese photographers on Vietnam-China traditional relations and the image of Vietnam's international integration and development.

The Vietnamese delegation to"Vietnam Days in China 2010" will be headed by Mr Hoang Tuan Anh, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Members of the delegation include representatives of ministries, provinces, associations and nearly 100 businesses of different economic sectors and industries to conduct market surveys, contact partners and expand business activities. 

The programme is co-sponsored by Chinese groups and companies successfully doing business in Vietnam, and the business community in China. It is expected that economic agreements of great value will be signed in the framework of the programme.
